Adobe InDesign
I can filter by Typekit, making it easier. Let's do Museo Sans and let's make sure that this is 300 for the weight and we wanna make sure that the text itself is actually white. So, in order to do that, we'll go over here to Swatches panel and we'll just make that white, like so. Now, if I click away, you can see that I actually applied that not to the text, but actually to the cell fill itself. So, what I wanna do here is make sure that I'm working on just the text because if I click away, you can see, nothing is in there right now, so let's go ahead and add those and then we'll change what it looks like. So, the options that I wanna put in here are Crust, Sauce, Cheese, Meat, Veggies, there we go. Now, let's select all of these right here and what we're gonna do is make sure that the text color gets changed. And you can actually just select one at a time and do this a lot easier, just like this, set to Paper, there we go. And Paper, there we go. Paper, there we go. Two more, Paper. And veggies, there we go. Okay. So we've got Museo Sans, 300-point, everything is looking good. So we've got that down. Now, what we wanna do is we want to actually fill this information with the ingredient. Well we have a text file and I actually have it open here. It's the cyop_ingredients text file that's located in your Exercise Files folder. I'm gonna move InDesign over for just a second so I can actually see it. And then what we're gonna do here is very simple. I'm going to bring in, let me move the Styles panel out of the way, gonna bring in right here the Crust, just select these objects, copy them to the clipboard. Right underneath Crust, select and paste. Paste them right in, very easy. Same thing here for Sauces. We're gonna go down, select everything from House Marinara all the way down to Smoked Tomato and we're just gonna go here and paste. For the Cheese, we'll do the same thing, everything from Mozzarella to Ricotta and we'll grab that and paste. Finally, we'll do the Meats and the Veggies. So we'll come here, paste that in. And the Veggies, right here. There we go. So now, everything's all set up. And what we're gonna do now is make this a little bit more stylized. So we'll select all of these cells, go to the Table menu, go up to Table Options and we'll choose Alternating Fills. Once we have Alternating Fills selected, we're gonna go down here and in the Alternating Fill section, we're gonna choose Every Other Row and we're gonna select first row, black, decrease the tint here to about 15. You could also change it to Every Second Row, Every Third Row, or whichever one you want. In this case, we're gonna do every other row and we're gonna hit OK. Once I hit OK, I'll click away from it so you can see it and I don't need that text document anymore, so let's go Full Screen with InDesign once again. There we go. So, everything is lining up. The last thing we need to do though is we need to style our text. So here's what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna select this right here and I'm just gonna make one change, set up a style, and hopefully it will go throughout the whole thing. So we'll choose Museo Sans for this. We're gonna give this a 300 weight. We're going to keep it at 12 points. And we're gonna back down the tint here to about 75%. Actually, I'm gonna beef it up just a little bit there, Museo Sans, there we go. Everything looks good. And so now, in the Styles panel, Paragraph Styles, we'll go ahead and create a new style. We'll call this Table Body and we'll make sure here that the basic character formats are all set up and should be Museo Sans, everything looks good there, okay. Indents and Spacing, Alignment, we want those in the center, there we go. And everything looks good, so let's hit OK. And now let's go through here and let's apply the Table Body to all of those. There we go. Now if you think that's a little too thick, which I kind of do, we can go in here and we can change Basic Character Formats, dial that down to about 300, hit OK, and then all of these right here, we can select them again, reapply that, that way, they're not as thick as they were before. So there we go. There is our finished table and if you wanted to go through and make some subtle changes to this, you could, but for the most part, everything lines up and looks okay to me. And so now, we are ready to move on to putting the finishing touches on this design and getting ready to deliver it to our client.
